About the IPSA Trophy

To award the Budding architect whose idea demonstrates a combination of those qualities of talent, vision, and commitment, which will have produced significant contributions to humanity and the built environment through the architecture.

IPSA Trophy is awarding each year to Student with their exclusive futuristic thinking capabilities by the Foundation of IPS Academy. The student would get encourage and stimulate not only a greater public awareness of buildings, but also would inspire greater creativity within the architectural fraternity. The official ceremony with National seminar will be conducted which shall be granting the trophy every year.

The independent jury of experts ranges from five to nine members. Jury members serve for multiple years to assure a balance between past and new members and are entrusted with selecting the Student each year. The jury members are recognized professionals in their own fields of architecture, education and publications. The panel are highly confidential and Signed NDA for the selection of the trophy. The Trophy is awarded rationally, irrespective of race, creed, or any ideology.

Competition brief

‘To demonstrate the creativity, imaginative and original idea to convert existing building façade to kinetic building façade’

In current scenario, our buildings are touching the verticality. Our static building converting nowadays into kinetic building with the help of vast variety of materials and technology.

Participants are asked to research and implement latest technologies and materials to reinvent the very new concept of a “kinetic” in existing building façade. (‘building can be of any type and size- minimum size floors with attached existing building photographs’)

So this as an open ideas competition offers architecture enthusiasts a chance to spread their creative wings and create the kinetic façade.

The jury will select the winning designs based on their creativity in use of materials, kinetic assembly with façade form

The deadline for submissions in January 25, 2017

Guidelines for submissions:

• Work to be mounted on a minimum 2; a-1 size; sheet (please don’t include any additional artwork/portfolio)
• Written statement should not more than 1000 words
• No. of participant’s maximum “Three” & minimum “One”
