Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/improvements:

The Management of the college is committed to quality education. In order to achieve this, our management’s policy has been to completely involve the faculty , staff & the students of various batches of the college in decision making processes leading to smooth implementation of the programme. Our long term & short period goals in this regards are as follows:-

Our long term goals are :

Ø Introduction of M.Tech course in Computer Science.

Ø Introduction of Ph.D programmes.

Ø Collaboration with Universities /IIIT’s/IIT’s / IISc to promote research.

Ø To develop stronger relationship with IT industries for consultancy & support activities.

Short term goals :

Ø Introduction of short term value added courses of 02 to 04 months duration for students.

Ø Encourage faculty members to acquire higher qualifications.

Ø To get our MBA/ MCA programme NBA Accredited.

Ø To secure grants for research works in emerging field of computer science through AICTE, UGC, private industries etc.

Our management is determined to achieve these targets through effective planning, monitoring & excellent leadership, visibility and considerable involvement of faculty, staff & the students.

Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic/good Governance :

This has been achieved by setting up the various committees comprising of personnel from Management, Faculty, staff & students. The activities of these committees:-

Ø Preparation of Academic calendar for the college well in advance.

Ø Framing of Rules and regulations of the college and inform all concerned.

Ø Regulations of the University are informed to all students, faculty and staff.

Ø The Academic Advisory Committee takes policy decisions related to all academic matters collectively.

Ø Meetings of faculty are convened at regular intervals and the policy decisions

related to academic matters and others informed.

Ø Proctorial system is adopted to take special care on each student.

Ø Every class has a class advisor in charge for attendance who will monitor the

participation of students in regular classes and other programmes.

Ø Week students are identified and suitable action to improve their

performance is taken periodically.

Ø Misbehaved students are identified and counseled.

Ø After the announcement of semester results Preparatory classes are

conducted for the failed students.

Student Feedback on Institutional Governance/faculty performance :

Ø Class Committee (consisting of students and the faculty handling
the classes) meetings are conducted thrice in a semester and feedback
is obtained from students directly. Suggestions from students
are listened to.

Ø Feedback from students is classified into faculty-subject-wise. Strengths and weaknesses are identified and faculties are counselled to improve upon.

Ø Feedback is also obtained from students about institutional governance and suggestions are accepted and implemented.

Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students

Ø A Grievance Redressal Committee comprising of senior faculty, students and staff is constituted every year.

Ø The Director of the college heads the committee. It receives grievances from faculty, staff and students and takes remedial actions.

Ø On complaints, it conducts inquiry considering all aspects and submits its findings and recommendations. Remedial measures are taken accordingly.

Ø Suggestion boxes are placed at strategic points and acted upon promptly.
