About the Department
The department of biotechnology in IPS Academy, Indore is
dedicated to educating students and the public about promises
and challenges of biotechnology. Through year
-round programs, the Department is creating a base of
understanding and awareness about biotechnology among teachers
and students-and building the next generation
of leaders in the industry.
Academy has 5 well equipped laboratories.

Molecular Biology lab.

Microbiology lab/Aseptic room.

General Biotechnology laboratory.
These laboratories are provided with all the advanced
instrument and other
requirements which can utilized for the research work in
different streams of
biotechnology.
The department regularly organizes Seminar and Workshops on
advanced
Biotech subjects and invites guest speakers to deliver talks
on latest topics.
Research Scientist, Quality Control Manager, Clinical Research Associate, Regulatory Affairs Specialist, Manufacturing Research Associate, Process Development Manager, Scientific Systems Manager, Market Research Manager, Development Research Analyst. etc.

Darshana Mahajan, Rini Jose, Abhilasha Mukherjee & Ipshita Mukherjee held position in DAVV merit list in M.Sc. & B.Sc. Biotechnology respectively for the academic year 2008-10.
Manika Shrivastava M.Sc. III Sem. Topped in University and Aparna Chaturvedi M.Sc. I Sem. (IV Rank in University) Shaina Baig Mirza M.Sc. I Sem. (IX Rank in University) held position in DAVV merit list in M.Sc. Biotechnology respectively for the academic year 2010-11.

Shubhanshi Trivedi & Richa Jakhetia cleared GRE & TOEFL exams & got registered at Canbera University, Australia for MS program in Biotechnology, 2006. Awarded Post Doctoral Scholarship for Ph.D. Program.

Ms. Sangeeta Sharma (M.Sc. IV Sem.) passed NET Exam.
Ms. Sapna Jain completed her M.Sc. in Biotechnology and was placed as lecturer at Maa Umiyadham College, Indore.

International conference on Biotechnology and Nanotechnology held at Paris from July 28-30’2010 invites Dr. Sanjay Nagar Prof. & Head with Dr. Preeti Barua, Pranoti Belapurkar to present their Research paper entitled "Role of genus Cassia in combating malnutrition in Bhil dominated Dhar and Jhabua regions of southern Madhya Pradesh of India".
